The Montreal-based non-profit required comprehensive digital education programming specifically designed to empower young immigrant women through skills development that would enable economic independence and career advancement. The core challenge involved launching a specialized digital course covering web development, online marketing, and e-commerce fundamentals through remote delivery twice annually over four-month periods, ensuring accessibility regardless of geographic or economic barriers. Our strategic approach centered on developing future-ready curriculum encompassing 40 comprehensive classes across digital media, coding, and entrepreneurship fundamentals, designed for real-world application and immediate career impact rather than theoretical knowledge transfer.
Implementation included robust remote-first learning infrastructure with live interactive sessions, comprehensive online materials, and collaborative tools that bring classroom dynamics to distributed participants. We structured programming through blended methodology combining group projects, expert-led instruction, and independent study components that build both technical skills and personal confidence simultaneously. The program successfully delivered 40+ classes remotely while training 100+ women across two annual sessions, covering five core digital skill areas through hands-on learning approaches. The non-profit now operates sustainable digital education programming that consistently empowers participants with marketable skills, enhanced economic opportunities, and increased confidence in technology-driven career paths.
